A woman is dead after a crash on the Atlantic City Expressway on Saturday night.

NJ State Police Responded to Crash

NJ State Troopers responded to an Atlantic City Expressway crash of a Nissan SUV at about 10:30 pm Saturday, June 16 near westbound milepost 38.3 in Winslow Township.

Police say the Nissan was traveling westbound when it sideswiped an unoccupied, disabled Honda on the right shoulder of the road.

The Crash Caused Vehicle to Overturn

The collision of the vehicles caused the Nissan SUV to overturn, according to police, and the driver, Ashley Pitts, 37, from Camden, was ejected from the vehicle.

New Jersey State Police said that Pitts died from injuries that she sustained in the crash.

The Incident is still under investigation by the NJ State Police.
