The debate is over on when and how to reopen schools in the Garden State. This will come as no surprise to many as classrooms all over New Jersey will remain empty for the rest of the 2019/2020 school year.

The Press of Atlantic City is reporting that Gov. Murphy will keep classrooms dark and the school year will finish with teachers instructing students remotely as education will now continue online for the rest of the academic year.

My youngest son, Josh, is a middle school teacher and I know he was anxiously awaiting the decision to be made. Even though teaching remotely can be a real challenge, I'm sure my son feels some sense of relief now that schools will remain closed for the rest of this difficult and very different school year.
