
Parks and Beaches to Visit in Atlantic County
It is hard to believe that there is only one month left before the kids head back to school and summer days begin to fade away, but that is plenty of time to get to the beach or a local park. Luckily, in Atlantic and Cape May Counties, there are so many beautiful places to visit! These parks or beaches are wonderful places to bring the whole family for a day. They can also be a place to treat ourselves to a solo day off or serve as beautiful places to bring a partner or loved one. Being outside not only boosts Vitamin D and improves mental health but also helps us appreciate our community and enjoy time with family or friends. ParkThe Egg Harbor Township Nature Reserve is a nature preserve located on 317 Zion Road in Egg Harbor Township, NJ! The reserve has six miles of hiking trail, a center lake where you are free to fish or kayak, and hosts several local events throughout the year!

ParkBirch Grove Park is located on 1675 Burton Avenue in Northfield, NJ! The park has roughly 271 acres, many fishing lakes, picnic areas, a museum, historical house on site, and hosts free concerts during the summer!

BeachThe Municipal Beach Park, or William Morrow Beach, or the Somers Point Beach is located on Bay Avenue in Somers Point, NJ! The beach is named after police chief William Morrow, and is both free (no tags needed) and open to the public! The beach has lifeguards, restrooms, outdoor showers, free parking, a children's playground, and a fishing pier!

BeachThe Brigantine Beach is located in Brigantine, NJ! Typically a more quiet and secluded beach, the beach is always breezy and offers 40+ streets of beach life with lifeguards. Beach tags are required. Plenty of swimming, surfing, kayaking, and paddleboarding is enjoyed on the beach, but other activities include getting fresh fruit bowls, coffee, ice cream, going fishing, and enjoying nature and wildlife!

BeachThe Margate City Beach is located in Margate City, NJ! Beach tags are required, and there is plenty of free and spacious parking available! There's great spots to check out around town as well such as local restaurants and stores, and as always, Lucy The Elephant. However, the beach itself is quiet and cozy with lifeguards and a beautiful vibe!
