Gordon Ramsey is All Shook Up

The "Hell's Kitchen" host took to social media on Saturday to reveal he was treated at the hospital for an injury he got in a "really bad" bicycle accident in Connecticut.

Ramsey, 57, said "It really shook me," in a post on Facebook, Instagram, and X. "Honestly, I'm lucky to be here."

Ramsey wrote in the post's caption that he is doing OK and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries, "but he is "a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato."

What Happened to Gordon Ramsey?

Ramsey had a "brutal" week after having a "really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut".

Ramsey doesn't give details about the crash, but says he is grateful to the doctors and nurses who tended to him and is "most thankful for my helmet that saved my life."

Ramsey's Message to Other Cyclists

There is no doubt that Gordon Ramsey is now an advocate for bike helmets. Ramsey says,

"You've got to wear a helmet. I don't care how short the journey is, I don't care that these helmets cost money, but, they're crucial. Even with the kids-- a short journey -- they've gotta wear a helmet.
