Every Thursday morning at 7:10am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Airam the dog...

Here's some information on Airam from the Humane Society of Ocean City...

"Airam is about a year and a half old. He had a very rough start in life. He did not come from the best circumstances and never had proper socializing. On top of that he has lost his trust in humans after being badly abused.

He is very shut down and fearful in the shelter. He is a dog that will need a lot of work with a very patient owner. He is still to the point of severely flinching when touched.

He has interest in other dogs so we want to see him go to a home with a happy, social dog to help him along. We feel that with the proper care and a great home he’ll be a great dog.

Adopting a pet as a new family member is a major commitment and responsibility. The Humane Society of Ocean City is there to help you and your family succeed every step of the way. We provide training assistance by one of our certified dog instructors and quality veterinarian services by our award winning clinic."
