If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.
This week we met Luna the dog.
Here's some information on Luna from the Humane Society of Ocean City...
"Hi, my name is Luna! I am a one-and-a-half-year-old spayed female mix(maybe some terrier)breed dog. I may be small in size but I have a really big and energetic personality.
I am hoping to find someone who shares my interests of doing puzzles, playing with the soccer ball, long walks on the beach, and of course.....cozy time while watching tv or reading a good book.
Before I came here to "The" HSOC I was homeless on the island of Puerto Rico. Many dogs like me are still looking for forever homes, after the destructive hurricanes a few years ago.
All Satos Rescue in San Juan reached out to their partners at the Humane Society of Ocean City and arranged for me and 4 of my friends to get on a plane and fly to Philadelphia International Airport. It was kind of scary but I felt a lot safer when staff from HSOC picked us up and drove us to their shelter.
I love everyone here and I know they love me but I am a little sad, You see, all the other dogs that I came here with have left for their new homes, but I haven’t yet.
I’m really hoping that someone out there is looking for a dog like me, adorable, playful, energetic, love the outdoors, and wants a companion. I am sorry but I do not like cats.."
