Woman Who Died With Support Dog in Galloway Condo Fire ID’d

A woman who died in a fire in her Galloway Township condo development has been identified.

Terri Holcombe, 53, died early morning on Oct. 29 with her emotional support dog, Frauline, in a fire that swept through the Apache Court Apartments.

Galloway Township Police have said that the woman's remains were found in the debris from the apartment fire.

Miss Holcombe's body was confirmed through the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, according to the Galloway Twp Police release.

The complex experienced a fire early in one unit that Saturday morning that spread to the entire building, causing the residents of 18 units to be displaced.

Galloway Twp Police reported at the time in a Facebook post that they had been called to the apartments at 5:07 am to find the building fully engulfed in flames. Police said the investigation found that all of the occupants impacted by the fire had been accounted for, except one.

Fire officials don't suspect arson, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Terri Holcomb was born in Somers Point and raised in Galloway. She graduated from Absegami High School, class of 1987 where she was active in the band, according to her obituary.

She was a receptionist in various doctor offices. Terri was a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. She loved her dog, Frauline who never left her side. She was always there to help others who needed a friend and willing to give you the shirt off her back. She loved to make others laugh even while facing many obstacles in life, she never gave up.

Terri is survived by her parents, her brothers, and her twin sister.
