Why They’re Dancing at Shore Medical Center

They're celebrating and dancing at Shore Medical Center in Somers Point.

But, why?

Shore Medical Center has shared the news that every time a COVID-19 postitive patient has been released, it's cause for a little celebration!

Each time a release occurs, the hospital's overhead sound system plays the Kool & the Gang Song, "Celebration." The center's facebook page says it's a way to "celebrate the patient's recovery and the great work our clinical team has done. Playing this song has helped uplift the spirits of the staff and providers, who are caring for our community during this pandemic. It is amazing the positive impact a song can have."
