Your School Choir Could Open for Foreigner at Hard Rock

The legendary rock band, Foreigner, is coming to Atlantic City's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, October 10th, and Lite 96.9 wants to give one lucky South Jersey choir the chance to get on stage with one of the world's best-selling bands.

Foreigner is on tour while celebrating the band’s long-awaited 2024 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Open the Hard Rock Show for Foreigner

Lite 96.9 has joined up with the classic band Foreigner for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a local school choir.

Not only will the winning choir perform with Foreigner, but the lucky choir will have the chance to open for Foreigner live on stage at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City on Friday, October 10th.

The winning choir will open up the show, singing a 10-minute set of songs!

The choir will also sing onstage with the band on the band's classic, "I Want to Know What Love Is."

The winning choir receives a donation of $500 from Foreigner for their school chorus program.

It is an exciting promotion that touches the lives of a lot of kids, their parents, and their schools.  It’s a successful contest/promotion that Foreigner has been doing with Lite 96.9 for 18 years.

What We Need From Interested Choirs

Here’s the catch: we need video of your choir performing the iconic Foreigner song, “I Want To Know What Love Is.”

The submitted song can be a snippet or a full-length version of the song — we just need to see and hear it.

We'll be accepting submissions now through Friday, September 26th.

Then the Lite 96.9 staff will choose a winning choir to be announced Monday, September 29th, on the Lite Morning Show with Eddie Davis.

A winning choir will be chosen from all entries received.

The band can accommodate up to 25 kids onstage (25 is the maximum number, but the winning choir can have fewer than 25 members) along with two adult chaperones.

This contest is not open to adult choirs. The choir must be from South Jersey (Atlantic, Cape May, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, or Ocean counties).
