The Five Most Expensive Steaks in Atlantic City Restaurants
Atlantic City has a great variety of steakhouse restaurants and eateries where you can enjoy an excellent steak, but be prepared to pay a premium price for your steak in some of them.
We did a little research and compiled a list of the five most expensive steaks in Atlantic City.
What We Considered in Compiling Our List
We wanted to make this as fair a comparison as we could, so we limited our most expensive steaks to steaks that would be eaten by one person.
For comparison purposes, we picked the five most expensive bone-in ribeye steaks between 20 and 24 ounces that we found on menus in Atlantic City restaurants.
The ribeye is one of the most popular cuts of steak, and most steakhouses offer one, so it works well for comparison purposes.
Many steakhouses have 'steak for two' deals that are popular with couples out for a romantic night.
For example, Ruth's Chris Steak House in Atlantic City offers a 'Porterhouse for Two', a 40-ounce prime cut they sell for $130. At 40 ounces, it's big enough for two people, so, of course, it costs more than a 20-ounce steak does.
We didn't consider any steak intended for two people. This list is the five most expensive steaks for one person.
We also decided to leave out one of the most popular and expensive types of meat -- the Kafshima A5 Wagyu beef from our list. At $30 to $40 an ounce, a 4-ounce Wagyu steak will set you back $120 to $160.
Kagoshima A5 is a grade of high-quality beef from Kagoshima, Japan. It is considered the highest grade of beef available in Japan and is known for its exceptional marbling, tenderness, and flavor.
Consequently, these steaks are the highest-priced steaks in the house. A 12-ounce Wagyu steak would cost about $480.
These prices are fairly standard or even market-priced at all steakhouses, so this gives an inflated cost for the restaurant's average steak cost.
If you plan on ordering Wagyu steak, you are certain to have a fine meal and an extremely expensive one.
We decided to leave the Wagyu steaks off our list, but most good steak houses serve some type of Wagyu steaks these days.
We are only including the five highest-priced, flat-priced (not sold by the ounce) steaks we could find at Atlantic City steak houses when we did our price shopping.
These prices are all à la carte. You are paying for only the steak. Everything else is extra.
