Every Thursday morning at 7:10am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Rex the dog...

Here's some information on Rex from the Humane Society of Ocean City...

"Rex is a 7 to 8 month old shepherd mix pup. His story has a sad beginning as he was dumped in a feral cat colony along with his sibling.

They were rescued from that situation and his sister has since been adopted. Rex is here at our HSOC shelter hoping his forever family will find him soon.

This is where you can help give a sad story its happy ending, Rex is a happy fun dog who still has a lot of puppy energy. He loves running around in our yard and playing with his toys.

Rex is looking for a human who is willing to put in the time and training to bring out the little ALL-STAR dog that he is meant to be.....and in return he will provide you with a lifetime of his love and companionship."
