Rex, a 5-Month Old Shepherd Mix Puppy – Pet of the Week
Every Thursday morning at 7:10am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.
If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.
This week we met Rex the dog...
Here's some information on Rex from the Humane Society of Ocean City...
"Rex is a 5-month old shepherd mix puppy that did not have a great start to his life. He was kept mainly in a crate in the basement with short visits to a concrete pad outside.

Rex is under socialized and doesn’t know how to play appropriately. He takes a little bit to warm up to new people but once he does he’s very friendly and attentive.
His play style is a bit rough and tumble so he will need someone that can direct it to where it needs to be. Rex has met other dogs and is friendly with them but doesn’t seem to care much about them and would prefer his human friends.
Rex would be fine in a household as an only dog or with another social, friendly adult dog. He needs a home with older or no kids. A low traffic, active home is what he needs"
