Linwood Police are investigating a social media threat made against Mainland Regional High School. Police say the threat appeared on several social media platforms, including Snapchat.

Police Are Asking For Help With Screenshots of Threat

In a post on Facebook Monday evening, Linwood Police say they became aware of a social media post threatening Mainland Regional High School in Linwood.

The police say the threat appears to have been reposted on several different social media platforms.

Linwood Police are working with officials from Mainland Regional High and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office to determine the legitimacy of the threat.

Police are warning against sharing such a post as it creates unnecessary alarm and can complicate the investigation.
