Pathways 2 Recovery: Empowering New Jersey Lives Through Employment
A Conversation with Patricia Dooley Budsock
In this short video, Patricia Dooley Budsock, Psychotherapist and Program Manager for Pathways 2 Recovery at Rutgers University, discusses how the program empowers individuals through compassionate care and structured support. She shares insights into the impact employment can have on sustained recovery and personal growth.
The Pathways 2 Recovery Project, a collaboration between Rutgers University and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, supports individuals impacted by opioid use disorder (OUD) by helping them reconnect with the workforce and build meaningful, independent lives.
Pathways 2 Recovery is more than a job placement program—it’s a comprehensive, person-centered initiative that addresses the unique needs of individuals in recovery. Through career training, support services, and employer partnerships, the program removes common barriers to employment and creates pathways to lasting success.
