Every Thursday morning at 7:10am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Cali the cat...

Here's some information on Cali from the Humane Society of Ocean City...

Cali is a sweet, almost 1 year old calico cat. She was adopted from us when she was a kitten and her owners tried and tried to get the dog to accept her but it wasn’t happening.

Out of concern for her safety, they returned her to us to find her a home where she will be safe. Cali is a sassy girl and likes to do things her way. She would be a wonderful girl for a family with older kids.

Cats are fine for her and she is also happy to live by herself. We are looking for a dog free home as she’s had about enough of dogs in her life.

Please contact one of our adoption counselors for more information. All cats are up to date with vaccines and have been spayed or neutered. The HSOC also provides each pet adopted by us with a 10% lifetime discount to our veterinary center."
