New Spirit Air Dress Code Bans Trashy Clothing, Nasty Tattoos
You've heard the saying , No shoes, no shirt -- No service?
Spirit Airlines has come up with its own twist on that slogan in its updated in-flight dress code.
Showing off your nasty tats, lewd or obscene clothes? No ticket!
Spirit Airlines has introduced a new dress code policy aimed at banning what they consider “trashy looks” from flights.
The updated rules target attire that shows too much skin, has offensive language, or feels overly casual for air travel.
Spirit Airlines Updates its Dress Code
The next time you jetting off to Florida for the weekend on ACY's favorite low budget carrier, keep in mind that Spirit has updated its in-flight policies.
This new dress code could leave some South Jersey passengers grounded for wearing "revealing" clothing or displaying "offensive" tattoos.
Passengers are prohibited from wearing see-through outfits, exposing private parts, or displaying lewd, obscene, or offensive body art.
The policy comes after an October incident captured in a viral video, where two women accused Spirit Airlines of sexism after being removed from a flight for wearing crop tops.
Spirit will have you agree to these terms when you book your ticket
Passenger Gets Tossed Off Spirit Flight for X-rated Sweatshirt
Just this week on a Spirit flight from Los Angeles, a passenger with a sweatshirt that used a variation of the F-word ("F**K Hate World Tour") was approached by an attendant who called him out on it.
Several minutes later she returned and ordered him to remove the sweatshirt due to obscene language.
When he refused, he was told that he’d have to leave the aircraft if he didn’t comply.
Spirit's New Image
While Spirit hasn’t made an official statement yet, reports say this move is all about improving the airline’s image and creating a more “respectful” onboard experience.
Walmart might want to consider instituting a dress code policy like this one.
Here are a couple of videos illustrating the reason for the Spirit Airlines dress policy update.
