We finally know what will replace the Tilton Inn, the longtime popular restaurant and bar on Tilton Road in Egg Harbor Township that closed its doors in late April.
An Irish Pub Is Taking The Place of Tilton Inn
Shore Local reports that the sale of the Tilton Inn was finalized on Aug 23rd.
The property was purchased by a developer who will be leasing it to Dooney's Pub, according to Samantha Zerafa Roessler from Foresite Commercial Realty, the broker who handled the sale.
The plan is for the building to undergo renovations with an opening date sometime in early 2025.
What is Dooney's Pub?
Jim and Mary Dooney opened the first location of Dooney's Pub in Delran in 2011, serving entrees, sandwiches, and burgers with an Irish flare. There is a second Dooney's Pub in Voorhees.

Tilton Inn Was a 60-Year South Jersey Favorite
“In 1963, Al and Mildred Ulrich opened the doors to Tilton Inn. We are incredibly grateful for your support over the past 60+ years. At this time, we have decided it is time for our family to close those doors. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our incredible staff and loyal customers,” the couple wrote on the restaurant’s Facebook page in early 2023.
Tilton Inn was known for its loaded nachos, beer-battered onion rings, wings, gourmet salads, build-your-own-burgers, and roast beef specials, and was a popular meeting spot for locals over the years.
