From Awareness To Acceptance in the Neurodiverse Community
It is Autism Awareness, aka Neurodiversity Acceptance Month. Isabelle Mosca, founder and president of Faces 4 Autism, has been advocating for individuals on the spectrum for over 20 years, ever since her son was diagnosed at age 3. In this conversation, she shares how far we’ve come—from simple awareness to creating inclusion in schools, businesses, and communities. She reminds us that sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is treat others with kindness, patience, and respect. With 1 in 36 children diagnosed with autism nationwide (and 1 in 35 in New Jersey), acceptance is more important than ever. Learn about the fun, meaningful events happening this month—from the popular “Bubbles for Autism” to community walks and school programs—and how you can be part of the movement.
