Free ‘Love Your Heart’ Breakfast Offers Tips to Be Heart Healthy
Let me extend an invitation to anyone with a heart to the "Love Your Heart - Free Community Education Breakfast" happening from 10a-noon Wed. Feb. 21 at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point.
Presented by Shore Medical Center and Penn Medicine, the free event is open to everyone and is a valuable chance to listen and interact with experts as they discuss caring for your heart, preventing heart disease and rehabilitation after a heart event. February is National Heart Month, so take a break and join me for breakfast and learn how to better take care of your heart!
I am looking forward to hosting this informative breakfast and hearing from this outstanding line-up of doctors and heart experts. Seating is limited, so to join me, RSVP as soon as possible.
The event program includes the following presentations:
- “Cardiac Care and Prevention” presented by Millee Singh, DO, FACC, of Penn Cardiology Somers Point
- “Keeping Your Heart Healthy Through Exercise and Fitness” presented by Chris Kozmor, RN, MEd, director of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation at Shore’s Center for Outpatient Rehabilitation
- “Facts About Smoking and Cessation” presented by Joseph Johnston, director of oncology services at Shore Cancer Center
- “Tips for a Heart Healthy Diet” presented by Saba Zahid, RD, LDN, patient experience manager, food and nutrition services at Shore Medical Center
