Community FoodBank Of NJ Needs Your Help With Turkey Drive
Thanksgiving 2020 is almost here and the Community FoodBank of New Jersey Southern Branch is asking for your help to make sure that every family in South Jersey has a turkey on their table this year.
Last year, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey gathered nearly 44,000 pounds of food and about 5,700 turkeys for our neighbors in need.
This year, the need is greater than ever, so your help is especially critical. Please lend a hand and donate during the Community FoodBank of New Jersey’s 20th annual Turkey Drive, Saturday, Nov. 14.
This is the time of year to think about the less fortunate in our community, those who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic and people who just need a little help to get by this holiday season.
The drop off date for your donated frozen turkeys and hams, as well as holiday trimmings, is Saturday, Nov. 14th at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey Southern Branch at 6735 East Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township and from 9a-to 3p on Nov.14th at these South Jersey ShopRites.
ShopRite of Hammonton, ShopRite of Rio Grande, ShopRite of Marmora, ShopRite of English Creek, ShopRite of Galloway, ShopRite of Somers Point and ShopRite of Absecon.
In addition to frozen turkeys and the trimmings, other most needed foods include...
- canned tuna, salmon and chicken
- pasta, instant potatoes, rice, cereal, mac & cheese
- canned soups, stews, spaghetti and meatballs
- plastic jars (only) of peanut butter, jelly
- carrots, green beans, mixed fruits and pineapples
