Every Thursday morning at 7:10 am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Cheyanne the dog...

Here's some information on Cheyanne from the Humane Society of Ocean City...

"Cheyanne has really come out of her shell. From scared, shy and unsure to becoming a confident, playful and proud dog Cheyanne had a "ruff" start and has come a long way from being found running at large on several occasions until eventually being turned into a shelter, then coming to the HSOC in hopes of finding her a permanent and loving home.

The HSOC is the land of second chances and she came to our shelter hopeful that with our innovative enrichment/training programs, as well as socialization with staff and volunteers that our "Princess" Cheyanne would prove to be a great dog.

Cheyanne is a sweet and playful one-and-a-half-year-old shepherd mix. She is very active and intelligent and loves treats, playing ball and swimming in her doggie pool.

Cheyanne has not done well with other dog meet and greets so it would be ideal if Cheyanne was the only dog in the home.
