Here is an enjoyable event for you and your pup that will also benefit other dogs!

Coming up on Saturday, September 7th from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM is the Mutt Strut on Cape May's Beachfront Promenade.

You and your dog can take the walk anytime during the window of time listed above and there is a donation request of $1 per leg. (aka $2 per person, $4 per dog -- what an adorable set up for donations)

Now I consider this good news: a portion of the proceeds are going to be donated to the event sponsor, Cape May County Dog Obedience Training Club AND the Beacon Animal Rescue which is a no-kill nonprofit rescue in Upper Township.

My dog, Carolina, is a rescue that came from a local shelter so it warms my heart to see other fundraisers to help similar nonprofits so more animals can find their forever homes.

This event will also have Mutt Strut gear that you can buy, an auction and will also have a dog trick and costume contest that will come along prizes for the talented winners.

And BRAND NEW this year from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM: a Microchip Clinic for the first 25 sign ups.

Registration is done on the day of the event and is being held near Convention Hall on Beach Avenue.

The rain date for this event is Sunday, September 8th.
