Every Thursday morning at 7:10 am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Cheyanne the dog.

Here's some information on Cheyanne from the Humane Society of Ocean City:

"This week's Pet of the Week is a "whatdaheck dog", meaning What da Heck is this great dog still doing here in the shelter!

We wanted to bring back our Princess Cheyanne as Pet of the Week because she has been here in the shelter since June and we really want to find her the loving forever home that she deserves.

Cheyanne is a super sweet Shepherd mix dog, who is somewhere between 1 and a half to 2 years old.

She is very playful and active and loves to fetch a ball, go on walks or swim in her pool. She is an intelligent girl and is eager to learn new tricks and games. She is also extremely lovable, fun, and snuggly.

She is hoping to find a home where she can be the only dog as she likes to be spoiled with love and attention and treated like a princess.

Cheyanne would do well as a family dog with the understanding that she still has a lot of puppy energy and can sometimes play a little bit "ruff".
