A video has gone viral of 20-year-old Emily Weinman's arrest turning rather violent on the Wildwood beach this Sunday afternoon.

The video itself has viewed over 6 million times and the officers involved with the incident have been switched to administrative duties until a full investigation has been completed.

One of the officers caught on the video can be visibly seen punching the 20-year-old from Philadelphia while voices in the background scream "Stop resisting!"

According to PressofAtlanticCity.com, Weinman has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer, aggravated assault by spitting bodily fluids at/on a police officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, obstruction, and minor in possession of alcohol.

You can view the video here, but beware that this content is somewhat disturbing.

So, after viewing do you think the officers were doing their job or things got way out of hand and the end result could have been avoided?

Whenever videos such as these circulate, I always ask myself why people resist the arrest because that type of reaction will always make the situation worse...and only worse. And she spit on the officers? Does she have no respect?

Let me know your thoughts.
