Seven former Wawa locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania have been put up for sale, according to an offering memorandum, and that includes 2 stores from South Jersey and land adjacent to a super Wawa in Egg Harbor Township.

You may buy any or all of the stores. If you've got a ton of money, that is.

All the stores and the available land  -- four vacant, 3,000- to 4,000-square-foot buildings and three parcels of land -- have an asking price of $4.125 million.on

Or, you could buy only the South Jersey locations -- two properties in Atlantic County and one in lower Ocean County -- for an asking price of $1,825 million.

The Available South Jersey Wawa Sites

1- The Atlantic County location with one of the older, smaller-style Wawas is the former Absecon Wawa at 907 White Horse Pike. Its price tag is $475,000.

Absecon has another Wawa less than half a mile away on New Jersey Avenue.

Wawa also considered adding another super Wawa in the old Absecon firehouse location at Route 9 and the White Horse Pike, but changed their mind earlier this year.

2- The 1.5 acres of land in Egg Harbor Township is adjacent to the newer super Wawa at 6678 Black Horse Pike. Wawa is asking $825,000 for the land.

3- The 6.3-acre Waretown, Ocean County Wawa closed after 26 years in 2019 with water and structural damage. That store's price is $525,000.

The Small Print - Deed Restrictions

The short version of the most restrictive deed restrictions I've ever seen stipulates that the new owners of the old Wawas cannot use the space for another convenience store or anything close.

...“convenience food store, coffee store, doughnut store, sandwich store, smoothie store, quick service restaurant, drugstore, fuel dispensing facility, or any combination of such uses.”
