One of the things I really miss ever since the whole COVID-19 pandemic started a few months back, is going to concerts. Especially now since the weather has turned warmer, I truly love a night filled with live music.

I'm so happy to be talking about going to see live music again, even though it will be an entirely different concert experience. It will be well worth it if you love live music and you're a fan of the legendary group, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes.

NJ.com and a press release from the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank reports that the first drive-in concert will be held on July 11th at Monmouth Racetrack in Oceanport, NJ in Monmouth County.

You'll be able to watch Southside and the boys jam from the comfort of your own car. Tickets go on sale this Friday and are $150 per car load. Part of the proceeds go to the NJ Pandemic Relief Fund.

I've been to a lot of concerts over the years, but I've never experienced one from the front seat of my car!

Of course as with everything with the "new normal", there are restrictions, including staying in your car unless you have to use the restroom, your vehicle will be spaced approximately 9 feet apart, passenger vehicles only, only 4 passengers per car, no alcohol, no pets and no tailgating.

I'm sure more drive-in concerts will start popping up all over the Garden State as we head into the not-so-normal 2020 summer concert season.
