A popular Somers Point Restaurant has temporarily shut down because a patron has tested positive for COVID-19 according to the website the Patch.

Josie Kelly's Public House located on Shore Road in Somers Point will have to temporarily close their doors after a guest at a private party tested positive for the virus.

So far, none of the employees of the restaurant have tested positive for coronavirus. All employees will be monitored for symptoms of COVID-19 on a daily basis.

The restaurant will remain closed for the time being until all necessary cleaning and  sanitizing efforts have been implemented and completed for the safety of patrons and employees.

The Galloway Township branch of the Atlantic County Library System just reopened after being closed since Friday after someone who had visited the library tested positive for the coronavirus.

Updated safety guidelines still remain in effect for all branches of the Atlantic County Library System including Mays Landing, Hammonton, EHT, Pleasantville, Somers Point, Brigantine, and Ventnor City. Safety Guidelines include all branches staying open at 25% capacity, limiting visits to 1 hour, the wearing of face masks and the continued practice social distancing. All meetings rooms at all library branches will remain closed until further notice.
