Thanks to the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority , there may soon be a ShopRite supermarket built in Atlantic City!

If this project is approved, the new supermarket will have 125 jobs open and a majority of the employees would be given paid vacation, sick and personal days, and health coverage!!

Village Supermarkets -- who already owns 30 ShopRites with locations in Absecon, Egg Harbor Township and Somers Point -- would be the developer and operator since it will be built at Baltic and Indiana Avenues which is land that they own.

It is being predicted that building the supermarket will cost $13.5 million.

Negotiations regarding this project should be starting today so we will keep you updated once we know!
