Ship Bottom Beach Announces Lifeguard Hours For 2019

Now we KNOW that Summer is around the corner.

Ship Bottom has just announced the hours that lifeguards will be keeping you safe on their beach this Summer.

Lifeguards will only be present on weekends from Memorial Day Weekend to June 15th.

Then after June 15th, lifeguards will be on duty from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM every day through Labor Day.

Being that this is one of the most popular beaches in Long Beach Island, beach patrol chief, Keith Stokes, also mentioned that mobile units would patrol the beach from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM if there is a need.

It is kind of surprising but Ship Bottom is actually the first beach to remain guarded until 6:00 PM and good thing because a majority of the water rescues occur between 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
