Since the stay-at-home order and the closing of non-essential businesses, the adoption facility at the Humane Society of Ocean City has been closed, although the veterinary services remain open.

I have missed having the animals on my show and I know that you have missed hearing about them. The dogs and cats are still there, though, waiting for life to get back to normal so they once again have a chance to be adopted and find their forever home.

We thought it would be fun to feature a gallery of photos of some the animals who will soon be available for adoption from the Humane Society of Ocean City
.
If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters. This week, we are featuring cats!

By the way the cat in the cover photo is Echo. Here is some information about him.

"Echo is between 2-3 years old. He’s a very lovable, happy cat. He was found as a stray here in Ocean City. He is FIV positive but it doesn’t slow him down. He just needs to be kept indoors and monitored for any illnesses He does fine with other cats and dogs. He’d be fine with kids."

Listen to the Lite Rock Morning Show and we will be sure to tell you when adoptions resume at the Humane Society of Ocean City.

Please a take a good look at some of the wonderful cats hoping you will consider them for adoption....
