Vineland Police have released the results of the preliminary investigation into the fatal crash between a pickup truck and a dirt bike on Saturday, Feb 12.

Police say Curtis T. Hansley Sr., 48, of the 400 block of Park Avenue in Vineland was riding a dirt bike at about 6:12 pm when he was involved in a crash. Hansley died at the scene.

According to Vineland Police, Hansley was an unregistered Kawasaki dirt bike southbound on South Delsea Drive and Michael Avenue Saturday evening. He was not wearing a motorcycle helmet and the unregistered dirt bike was not equipped with a headlight.

A 2010 Ford F-150 traveling northbound on South Delsea Drive operated by Juan Vazquez of Vineland attempted to make a left turn into a business parking lot and struck the dirt bike.

Hansley was pronounced dead at the scene. Vineland Police say this investigation is ongoing and anyone who witnessed this crash or has any information should call Officer Anthony Capelli at 856-691-4111 x4350.
