The Cape May County Prosecutor has released the panicked 911 calls received from Sunday morning's shooting death of Lower Township man James Weaver.

The frantic calls are from the friend who had given Weaver a ride home from a Cape May bar, after he had allegedly kicked out windows in her truck, and from Terry Ewing, as her disabled husband faced off downstairs with Weaver before shooting him as he broke into their home.

The calls offer dramatic insight into the events leading up to Weaver's death early Sunday morning in Lower Township.

Weaver's family have speculated that he was intoxicated and only trying to get help when he went up to the Ewing family home on Rt. 109 in Cold Spring early Sunday, but these calls paint a different picture.
