The popular pizza restaurant franchise Santucci's will soon have another South Jersey location after Brigantine approved the opening of a Santucci's Restaurant on Thursday.

The Brigantine Planning Board unanimously approved the site plan for the new Santucci’s Restaurant at 3800 Brigantine Boulevard, in the previous location of the shuttered 7-11 convenience store.

The 7-11 store has been vacant since 2015 and is a real eyesore. The new Santucci's Restaurant will be a big improvement in such a high-profile location in Brigantine.

The Brigantine Santucci's will be the 10th in the chain for the family-owned Santucci's Restaurant that first opened in the Juniata Park neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia in 1959.

In addition to pizza, Santucci's offers a menu of Italian dishes, salads, tasty wings, and desserts. My family has had Santucci's in our take-out rotation since their first New Jersey location opened in Ventor in 2018. It's good pizza and I love the crust.

In 2022, Santucci's opened in Wildwood.  Another New Jersey location, a family-owned Santucci's, also opened in Washington Township in 2022.

The Santucci's pizza style, billed as "Philadelphia's Original Square Pizza", has their signature ‘sauce on top’ pizza recipe that was traditional in Northern Italy.

Santucci's Ventnor location features a large eat-in and outside dining area and bar, often offering live music, and is a popular gathering spot.

Santucci's should be a great addition to Brigantine. No opening date has been announced. Hopefully, they can be up and running by summer 2024.
