The Hamilton Township Police are asking for help identifying a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a car while walking along the Black Horse Pike in Hamilton Township on Sunday night.

The man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was not carrying any identification. Police have not released any further description of the man.

Police and rescue squads responded to the accident at 8:15pm Sunday evening on the Black Horse Pike (Route 322) between Wrangleboro Road and Mckee Avenue. The accident investigation closed the down the pike for several hours.

The preliminary investigation determined a 2008 Honda Civic, driven by Caterina M. Giordano, 58, of Waterford, was traveling eastbound and struck a pedestrian. Giordano was transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

Police said no charges are pending against the driver.
