Northfield Pediatrics Practice Had a Positive COVID-19 Patient

Coronavirus is moving and spreading ever closer in South Jersey.

Tender Care Pediatrics in Northfield sent their patients an email Monday, March 23, notifying them that a patient they treated on Saturday, March 14 has tested positive for COVID-19.

Although no mention is made of the age or identity of the patient in the notification, one would suppose that the patient is a child.

Tender Care Pediatrics stresses that they handled the case by NJ Health Department guidelines and that staff who had contact with the patient have been quarantined.The office staff is reported to be feeling well and remains asymptomatic.

As a precaution, the practice is temporarily limiting visits to their office over the next two weeks and is encouraging patients to use telemedicine.
