We know this much about the shoplifter who stole from two Cape May County Acme Markets on Monday: he loves his scallops from Acme.

New Jersey State Police have posted on Facebook asking for your help identifying the man who stole over $100 dollars worth of unpaid scallops from the Seaville Acme. Then he drove over to the Avalon Acme and did it again.

According to State Police, the man wandered around the Seaville Acme for about 20 minutes on Monday before walking out without paying for the scallops and then repeated this behavior at the Avalon Acme.

Police say the scallop suspect was seen leaving the store in a white or silver 2004-2008 Ford F-150 with an aftermarket flatbed.

There's a pretty good chance someone will recognize the man in this photo or will know of a scallop lover with questionable ethics who may be responsible for this crime.

If so, you should call the NJ State Police Trooper Disano, NJSP Woodbine Station, at (609) 861-5698.
