Coward Who Mugged Senior in Somers Point Still Hiding

🔺83-year-old Woman was Mugged in Somers Point Last Week

🔺Police Are Asking for the Public's Help to Find the Perp

Last Thursday (October 3), the Somers Point Police were called to the Acme in Somers Point to aid a senior woman who had been mugged in front of the store.

The unidentified woman, 83 years of age, was accosted as she was leaving the store.

Police believe the person responsible was a younger white male who was wearing a mask.

Once he snatched the woman's purse, he fled in the direction of Bethel Road.

The Somers Point Police Facebook page has been flooded with angry posts.

People who know the victim (we are not identifying her), can't believe this could happen.

"Pat was one of my employees, she worked for me for about 6 years before she retired. She is a sweet and harmless woman. My wife and other employees will be checking in on her. "In broad daylight! Be careful out there folks, this world has gone mad!"

🔺Robert S laments the changes he has observed in the community,

"I’ve seen a big change in the last 6 months alone, lots of vagrants. I’m asked for money at Wawa and CVS all the time."

"How evil are you to attack an 83-year-old?? I pray she is ok."
