As we get ready to put the wraps on another amazing summer tourist season here in New Jersey, we learn of a bit of a slight to the beach towns we love so much in our state.

The summer was full of amazing memories and tons of tourists. All you needed to do during this summer was to spend some time on the Garden State Parkway to realize there are tons of people who are making New Jersey beach towns their choice for vacation fun.

If you believe what a recently published list says, however, the Jersey Shore may be a great place to visit, but you probably don't want to live there.

The list names the 50 best beach towns in America to live in, and the results sting a little bit for the Garden State.

According to Stacker, there is only one New Jersey beach town that is worthy to make their list of the top beach towns to live in, and the list is 50 towns deep. ouch, that really hurts.

There is some good news in this, however, and of course, it belongs to the Garden State town that did make the list.

So, congratulations are in order for Ocean City, which came in at #47. That's right, not only did New Jersey only make the list once but the town that made it just barely did.

I think we need to stick up for so many amazing New Jersey beach towns that didn't make the list. We certainly think you are worthy, even on a list that has some really stiff competition. Maybe next time.
