Every Thursday morning at 7:10 am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation's top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Misty the cat...

Here's some information on Misty from the Humane Society of Ocean City...

"Misty is a very sweet, spayed female, grey domestic short-haired cat. She is almost two years old.

Misty initially came into a crowded municipal shelter in June of 2020 as a stray and promptly had a litter of kittens.

After raising her kittens and watching them all leave to their forever homes she remained at the shelter until August of 2021 when we took her into our shelter.

She loves to bundle herself under blankets, so her ideal home would have a special blanket that she could call her own. Misty is fairly laid back and would do well with other cats. She doesn’t seem to have a problem with dogs or kids either.

Please contact one of our adoption counselors for more information. All cats are up to date with vaccines and have been spayed or neutered. The HSOC also provides each pet adopted by us with a 10% lifetime discount to our veterinary center."

See the available Lite Rock Pets of the Week.

If you would like to visit Misty or need more information about any animal up for adoption at The Humane Society of Ocean City, call 609-398-9500 to make an appointment.

To adopt from the HSOC, you will need one form of identification, which includes your name, permanent address, and proof of ownership (i.e., local tax stub). If you rent, written approval from your landlord is required as well as personal identification.
