The Recreation Department in Middle Township has a plan to ring in Christmas and they are asking members of the Middle Township community to help spread Christmas spirit by participating in the Christmas Eve Jingle 2020.

The idea is to get as many people as possible to go out on their doorstep and ring a bell for two minutes at 6pm this Christmas Eve, to spread Christmas spirit around South Jersey and around the world and "to help Santa Claus fly his sleigh".

The organizers of Middle Township's Christmas Eve Jingle acknowledge that 2020 has been a most unusual year and one that's left us even more in need of some Christmas spirit.

After a tough year, it would be an amazing memory for our community to share in. Let's help spread a sparkle of Middle Township magic, hope and togetherness.

Middle Township is asking residents to post photos of  themselves participating in the Christmas Eve Jingle on the Township's Recreation and Tourism Facebook page.

I think this is the best idea I've heard all year, and, even though I don't live in Middle Township, I plan to make it a part of my family's Christmas Eve celebration and I hope you will, too!

Let's combine forces and ring bells to show we still have the Christmas spirit even after all we've been through in 2020 and ring for the hope of a better year in 2021. Who's with me?
