Meeting Set for Interested Tenants in AC’s New Container Park
Potential tenants interested in opening a business in Atlantic City's planned shipping container park retail and entertainment project in Atlantic City's Orange Loop are invited to a meeting from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, Sept 17.
Atlantic City First Shipping Container Park
A grant of close to $2.5million from NJ's Activation, Revitalization, and Transformation Program will help in the building of the container park on a vacant lot at 1400 Pacific Avenue, combining an entertainment venue, a local vendor market, and a gourmet marketplace
The modern container park concept has been a trendy addition in Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Orlando.
The three people involved in developing Atlantic City's shipping container park -- Maps 3 Partners-- are Mark Callazzo, the man behind the revitalization of the Orange Loop and co-owner of five properties on Tennessee Avenue, Adam Zengel, the former director of Entertainment Operations at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and Paige Washington, the director of Development at Sister Jeans Kitchen in Atlantic City.
What Are the Key Features of Tenn Ave AC?
The park will utilize a mix of 28 renovated shipping containers and traditional brick-and-mortar structures at the corner of Pacific and Tennessee avenues.
Developers say the complex will include an area for local farms and small businesses to bring a variety of produce and products, local retail vendors, classrooms, and spaces used for education, art, and community gatherings.
The plans also called for a live performance stage, a recording studio, rooftop outdoor seating, and roadside murals.
These container “villages” are becoming a way to drive traffic to urban areas with a fresh innovative concept that targets customers looking for something different.
The Interested Tenants Meeting
Construction is expected to begin this year and the MAP 3 Partners are looking for tenants for the retail spaces.
If you are interested, you should attend the meeting from 6 pm-8 pm on Tuesday, Sept 17 at Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall,133 S. Tennessee Avenue, and get information about resources and opportunities for tenants.
