Mainland Regional High Grad Chosen as Rhodes Scholar
A big congratulations is in order for one Mainland High School grad and valedictorian from the class of 2015 for being chosen as a Rhodes Scholar for 2019!
Linwood's own Margaret H. 'Maggie' Dods will be one of only 32 colleges students to win this prestigious award, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
Dods is currently a senior at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. According to the report, applications were sent from 281 colleges nationwide and there were over 875 applicants to choose from.
The Mainland grad will now study at Oxford, England in the fall of 2019. The first Rhodes Scholar was e awarded in 1903 and the first U.S. Rhodes Scholar to study at Oxford was 1904.
Congratulations again to Mainland Grad Maggie Dods on winning this prestigious award!
