Jersey Locals Needed as Extras for Bruce Springsteen Movie

Attention Springsteen fans and aspiring actors!

If you would like to work as a background actor in an upcoming movie about Bruce Springsteen filming in New Jersey in November, December, and January, here is the information you need.

Bruce Springsteen Biopic Casting Call

A new movie about Bruce Springsteen is being filmed around New Jersey and the producers are looking for background actors of all ages.

The movie using the working title “Husker” will begin filming in New Jersey beginning this fall.

TCS Louisiana Productions is currently casting local background actors for an upcoming feature film about the life of Bruce Springsteen, starring Jeremy Allen White.

Who Are Producers Looking for to Work in Bruce Springsteen Movie?

The producers are looking for men, women, and children of almost any age to work in background roles not covered by SAG-AFTRA.

They have set aside the following dates for work in these New Jersey counties.

• Morris County, NJ - Nov. 22, 2024 - children ages 3-17 yrs and adults of all ages and ethnicities, for scenes set in the early 1980s.

• Asbury Park, NJ - Dec. 9-13 and 16, 2024 - children ages 6-12 yrs and adults of all ages and ethnicities for scenes set in the 1950s and early 1980s.

• Bergen County, NJ - Jan 9-10, 2025 - people ages 18-30s and all ethnicities for scenes set in the early 1980s.

This is an opportunity for non-union actors to work on a major film set.

Extras will be paid $176 for a 10-hour workday, and all roles are for non-SAG performers. Participants must be willing to work both interior and exterior scenes and be comfortable working around atmospheric smoke.

No transportation or hotel accommodations are provided, so local talent is preferred. Additionally, extras must have no allergies to wool as some costumes will require wearing wool garments, and full-day or night availability is needed for the shoot dates.

Background Actors With a 1950s or 80s Look Are Needed

1980s Scenes: Men: should have longer/shag haircuts. The long rocker style is also great. No fades, buzz cuts or super short hair for men.

For women: any length is great, chin/shoulder length is ideal. Layers are great. No long extensions. Curly hair and perms are great!

1950s Scenes: Must be ok getting a 1950s-period haircut.
