A Philadelphia man has been arrested and charged for allegedly crashing a U-Haul van into several police vehicles while attempting to flee from a bank robbery in Pennsauken Tuesday.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office says the scene unfolded around 4:30 PM at the TD Bank branch on Route 130.

According to authorities, the suspect, later identified as 34-year-old Kevin Allure, reportedly passed a demand note and threatened bank employees. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

Police say shortly thereafter, officers located Allure driving a U-Haul van and they attempted to stop the vehicle.

Allure proceeded to use the U-Haul van to crash into three police vehicles before his van became inoperable on Haines Road near John Tipton Boulevard.

Allure fled the van on foot but was apprehended by police, per officials.

Two police officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the crash.

Allure has been charged with the following:

  • First-degree robbery
  • Second-degree eluding
  • Fourth-degree resisting arrest
  • Three counts of third-degree criminal mischief
  • Two counts of third-degree assault by auto

Allure was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
