It was a terrible scene in a Burlington County Walmart parking lot Thursday night as a 17-year-old was shot and killed and his 44-year-old father shot and wounded.

Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Burlington Township Acting Public Safety Director James Sullivan says the shooting happened just after 10pm outside the Walmart on Route 541 in Burlington Township.

When police arrived on the scene they found Dione Williams Sr., 44, and his son Albert Williams, 17, both of Hammonton suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital where Albert Williams was pronounced dead. Dione Williams Sr. was treated and released.

Coffina says the preliminary investigation points to this shooting not being random shooting. No more information on the investigation has been released.

"Anyone with information that might be helpful to investigators is asked to call Burlington County Central Communications at 609-265-7113."
