Farmers’ Almanac 2018/19 Winter Predictions for South Jersey
As Summer 2018 winds down, (some) of us look forward to the crisp, fall weather, while others dread what's coming behind it. I'm looking forward to football being king of the weekends, the beautiful foliage, and the crisp nights and chilly mornings.
But what's in store for the winter season to follow?
The Farmer's Almanac has just released their predictions for Winter 2018/19 for South Jersey. According to the long range forecast, South Jersey will be in store for a long, cold, white and wet winter. Temperatures could remain right at freezing which could lead to icy conditions.
I'd much rather have a mild and snow free winter as some of the other Winter 2019 predictions have indicated.
Get ready for some teeth chattering, frigid temps to arrive in mid-February. The start of Spring 2019 will also be cold and stormy which could lead to a combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain.
I'd be thrilled with one snowfall this winter. Maybe a couple of inches of the white stuff on December 24th and 25th and then snow-free for the rest of Winter 2019!
