Best Places for Lunch in South Jersey You May Not Know About

Molly's Kitchen- Northfield

Molly's is a relative newcomer to the neighborhood.  They are literally a hole in the wall at 705 Tilton Avenue, in the same shopping strip as the bagel place.  Molly's is a gem.  They offer a simple menu that gives you choices of burgers, melts/fried platters wraps, salads or lunch specialties.  I highly recommend their corned beef Ruben sandwich.  It's outstanding.  Service is fast and prices are quite fair.

Tony Beef-Galloway 

Tony Beef is a family-owned operation with two locations (Galloway and Somers Point).  Their selection of burgers is second to none.  They're creative, big, and fun.  Not sure what that means?  Check out their "Big Schmacc." A half pound of beef, American Cheese, lettuce, pickles, onion, and of course their secret "Schmacc Sauce." Or the "Danny Devito Burger" that features,  House Bun, Half Pound of Beef, Provolone, Salami, Capicola, Hot Soppressata, Marinated White Onions, Lettuce, Tomato, Crushed Red Peppers, and Roasted Garlic Aioli.  I was very impressed with their pricing.  Very much worth a visit.

Marsini's Kitchen- Somers Point

Pride in ownership is a good way to describe Marsini's.  Carlo Marsini, owner and chef offers a flavorful menu with lots to choose from.  A couple of suggestions include the Cutlet Roasted Red sandwich.  Another option is a nice twist on the grilled cheese sandwich.  They make theirs with smoked pork, fried onions, smoked gouda, gruyere & cheddar on Rando’s Atlantic City Sourdough.  I'm not sure how you get back to work after a sandwich like this, but yum.  They're located at 12 East Maryland Avenue in Somers Point.

Copper Dog- Wildwood

This is another newbie on our list.  Copper Dog offers a nice, light atmosphere that is family-oriented.  Their lunch menu includes a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich on a brioche bun that's killer.  They also offer a nice selection of pizzas.  Copper Dog is unique in that they invite your fur babies to join you.  Perfect for a Saturday or Sunday family lunch.  You can find Copper Dog at 4400 Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood.

Ichiban Sushi- Northfield

Sushi lovers will enjoy the menu at Ichiban.  They are not an easy place to spot.  They're tucked away in the Plaza 9 strip center, across from McDonalds in Northfield.  They offer a nice selection of fresh sushi as well as some specialties like the soft shell crab burrito.  Ichiban is a takeout-only restaurant.  Their prices are on the high side, but if you enjoy sushi, I've been here many times, and really enjoyed my meal.
