With restaurants operating at limited capacity and all of us spending more time at home, take out and delivery are booming. And if we are not careful, too much of this good thing can lead to too much around our waistline, now known as the "Quarantine15" or "Covid-19".  However, there are ways to order out and still make smart choices. It can be as easy as choosing the right words from the menu.  Terms to avoid include “crunchy,” “crispy,” “battered”, “breaded,” “creamy,” and “cheesy” which often can mean they’re higher in fat or calories. Healthier options might use terms like “baked,” “grilled,” “roasted,” “steamed,” and “al fresco.”

Always ask for dressings and sauces to be served on the side so you can control how much you use.  Also, instead of eating out of the containers, portion your food out on a separate plate so you can see what you are eating.  With a few simple changes, you can make your takeout good to go!
