Three Stafford Township men have been arrested on charges of possession of steroids and LSD after postal inspectors detected drugs in packages addressed to the men.

According to a release from Stafford Township Police on Facebook, U.S. Customs Border Patrol and Protection Division seized about three packages that contained LSD and steroids and were addressed to three men from Manahawkin.

The packages were delivered and Stafford Police secured search warrants for the homes of the suspects.

The Stafford Police Drug Enforcement Unit arrested James Balady, 55, of Parker Street in Manahawkin on June 7 and charged him with six counts of possession of steroids.

On June 16, police arrested Jason Benko, 18, of Hudson Street in Manahawkin on charges of possession of LSD.

That same day, Stafford Twp. Police also arrested Andrew Garcia-Villiez, 32, of Driftwood Avenue in Manahawkin on charges of possession of steroids.

The three men were processed and released pending appearances in Ocean County Superior Court.

Police have not disclosed if the men were connected to one another in this suspected drug mailing scheme.
