Congratulations are in order for a member of the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard in Egg Harbor Township for winning a prestigious award for her help in the evacuation of thousands of people during the Afghanistan evacuation.

Master Sgt. Jane Hunter, a deployed 'Jersey Devil' Airman from the 177th Fighter Wing Communications Flight, was awarded for her work processing more than 1,000 tons of cargo and more than 19,000 passengers, and helping with the evacuation of almost 10,000 Afghans, during the largest airlift in U.S. history.

MSgt. Hunter's achievements earned her the SNCO of the Quarter award for her part in that historic mission.

Master Sgt. Hunter is pictured receiving the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Quarter award for the quarter of July-September, as well as completing the First Sergeant Symposium from September 30th through October 2nd.

As the Facebook post from the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard says, "Nice work, Airman!"

Here's wishing you and your fellow Airmen a safe return to South Jersey.
